Trivium joins new partners to launch Brazil’s first water in aluminium bottles
Canmaker Trivium Packaging has partnered with Spa Mineral Saúde pela Água to introduce Brazil’s first mineral water in aluminium bottles.
Spa Agua is a new brand owned by experienced investors in the mineral water market. Their business concept is to work only with aluminium packaging, and they promote aluminium bottles as a premium option.
The company chose Trivium’s impact-extruded ‘Pacific Round’ aluminium bottle, with a roll-on pilfer-proof (ROPP) 38mm neck, 59X225mm, and comes in a 500ml size.
“Aluminium packaging was chosen because it is lightweight, durable, and it is 100% recyclable,” a spokesperson for Spa Agua told The Canmaker. “Spa Mineral strives to preserve natural resources and promote sustainable development. Using aluminium, an infinitely recyclable material, allows us to offer a natural product with sustainable packaging, upholding the company’s values and giving customers an alternative to plastic bottles.”
The range available for the Brazilian market includes the company’s mineral and sparkling water, and is packaged in aluminium bottles purely for the Brazilian market.
Luiz Roveri, senior commercial manager at Trivium Packaging Brazil, told The Canmaker: “This is a new partnership to launch Brazil’s first water in an aluminium bottle. The artwork conveys a view of purity and finesse for the product, since the company’s water comes from a sustainable artesian aquifer.
“As part of the design process, we arrived at a wavy design that evokes (the idea of) flowing water. The Trivium team developed the product in seven distinct colours to achieve the desired effect, using many tones and gradients. The bottle can be depicted as a landmark in Brazil’s journey to reduce waste generation and promote greener consumption behaviours. Especially considering the country’s high aluminium recycling rates of about 98%.”
