Low-carbon aluminium the new eco-responsible opportunity from g.pivaudran
G.pivaudran is advancing its CSR efforts by launching low-carbon aluminium products, expanding its eco-responsible offerings beyond recycled aluminium to serve premium and luxury brands.
This new solution merges luxury with sustainability: low-carbon aluminium matches standard aluminium in finish, purity, and performance while slashing environmental impact. Unlike recycled aluminium—ideal for matt effects but trickier for ultra-high-gloss—low-carbon aluminium has no technical limits, letting brands choose based on their CSR priorities.
Produced in Europe using renewable energy (notably hydroelectric) and optimized processes, g.pivaudran’s low-carbon aluminium generates under 5 tonnes of CO₂ per tonne (vs. 6.4 tonnes for standard aluminium). It boasts enhanced raw material traceability and partnerships with committed suppliers.
“A natural progression” to meet demand for luxury-sustainability blends, says Chairman Marc Pivaudran. A first project using the material is underway, and it will be showcased at Édition Spéciale by Luxe Pack Paris on July 1-2, 2025.
